We combine these two incredible practices in a unique and powerful way. We start with connection, intention and movement, then we guide you in a Yoga Nidra practice, and upon its completion, turn on the Reiki Energy,
Yoga Nidra is sometimes called The Sleep of the Yogi. The aim however is not to sleep, it is to take the consciousness as far inward as it is ready to go.
Yoga Nidra is usually practised laying on your back, but can be adjusted to seated or standing positions if needed. As the person practising Yoga Nidra you need two things: to listen to the voice and instructions of your guide, and what is called San Kelpa. As I have been taught, San Kelpa is the hearts deepest desire, expressed as I AM ___. San Kelpa is personal and something you will choose for yourself. You may come with one in mind, or let it come to you during the practice. Your San Kelpa may change over time, or be stable.
Some examples of San Kelpa: I am safe. I am secure. I am loved. I am free. I am worthy. I am a conscious creator. I am living in abundance.
The San Kelpa I have personally embraced is: I am loyal to my innermost truth.
Reiki Healing is an ancient method of healing that essentially channels Divine or Universal Energy for the purposes of: clearing, releasing, healing, transforming, and bringing into full expression. Reiki Healing is channelled from both above and below through the givers Being, into the receivers Being, and then grounded into the Earth.
A person receiving Reiki may have a variety of experiences, and all are perfect. It is totally normal to fall asleep, to express sounds, words, tears, etc., to experience sounds, imagery or sensations, or to not notice much at all. Even no experience is an experience. Reiki is best received with an open heart and mind, and no expectations other than it will serve your highest good - even if you don't know how!
